July 19 Pregame Report: The Final Home Game!

Here we go! The final hurrah of the 2025 season! The final match to be played at Q’unq’inuqwstuxw Stadium. Nanaimo’s third season is about to come to a close, let’s check in with some of the players and see how they’re feeling:

“We’re definitely feeling a mix of emotions heading into the final home game,” said women’s team member, Macyn Jolly. Jolly grew up playing youth soccer in South Korea and Vernon. “Super excited to finish strong at home, but also a bit sad that it’s the last one of the season in front of our fans.” Jolly spent her first year of university playing for the University of Calgary and is looking forward to transferring to and playing for Thompson Rivers University.

Victoria Cronkhite’s rookie League1 season is coming to an end, but she is pumped for the last two games. “I'm super excited! The team has put in a lot of effort this season and I know we will finish strong.”

It’s attacker Ryder Skølka’s last game. “Me and the boys are buzzing. We all want to prove we can go take points off the first place team and leave a statement at home.” On the men’s side, TSS is hoping for a win - they currently sit first in the league with two games to play and are desperate to make sure Langley United and Altitude FC, both only two points back, don’t catch up. They want another league title! Can our lads take some points away from the first place team? It’s going to be a battle!
